On The Side…West Coast Road Trip

by Kelli on September 13, 2012

Over Labor Day weekend I headed out to one of my favorite places – the west coast.  I spent one day (that flew by entirely too fast!) exploring and eating my way through Portland, followed by three awe-inspiring days in driving down the coast and through the Redwoods to San Francisco.

You can truly learn a lot about someone after spending three days together in the car!  I’m happy to report that everyone is still alive & smiling, and there’s even been talk of future road trips.  Success!
I still can’t get over the natural beauty, and magnificent, ever-changing landscape from the central Oregon coast to Northern California to the Redwoods to the golden, rolling hills of farmland to the vine-striped acres of wine country.   I was am still amazed beyond words.   I fall more and more in love with the west coast everytime I’m there, and this trip was certainly no exception.
I could go on and on about this trip, and what an amazing time I had, but I think I’ll let the photos do all the talking, instead.

Amazing photos! I especially like that one of the skyline. I agree! You learn a lot about a person when you travel with them.

Looks like an amazing trip Kelli!! The west coast is just so beautiful! Makes me miss it even more than usual. And I'm so jealous that you got to go to Voodoo, I haven't been to Portland in ages.
